My boyfriend just told me he may be gay

I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year and a half, Two days ago he said he is having issues with himself
He was abused as a child, (exact age and by whom I am not sure) and his mother passed away in his early teen years.
He says he finds men attractive but he does not know what to do. We broke up and he spoke with my best friend about it he does not know if this is what he wants to do but wants to figure it out. I am so lost without him not only is he my boyfriend but my best friend. He says he loves me but is not in love with me because he does not believe he can ever be in love with anyone.
I asked if there was any hope of us getting bcak together the only answer I can get is not for right now.
Help?

Thank you for this posting as there are many other people like you and your partner. I am sorry for the loss of a dear friend and someone you love, but he is too confused and unclear about himself to be in a relationship right now. When he says "not right now" he is being absolutely honest and I think in your heat you recgnise that.
He needs time and space to sort himself out!

Funny thing is I am in exactly the same situation and I have decided to give him his space. If you love someone you can't try and mould them into who want them to be. Unfortunately its quite sad I have bwnn with my man for 6 yrs and just found out he was abused -its not something he wants to talk about but I recently discovered Gay porn so, either he is bisexual or just really confused. I dunno what to do anymore but I have found that there is nothing I can do- butto give him his space to work out what he wants (coz he claims he wants kids with me!) I think if I want my life to be less complicated later on in life I need to give him space now to work out what he wants.
