Vaginal tightness

My partner and myself find having intercourse very difficult as she has a very tight vagina. She tries to relax as much as possible and can get wet but can't open up. I'm not sure if this is pyschological, physical or a combination of the two?

Vaginal tightness

This is quite a common situation, and seems as if your partner may have something similar to Vaginismus. This means that the Vagina can tighten up if you try to put anything inside it, and is a mixture of physical and psychological. The tightness is very real, but is often caused by psychological factors such as fear. The tightening can cause intense pain.
Although you do not mention pain in your question, I suggest you read the pages on Vaginismus on the main site, as the same treatment would overcome the tightness.
