My girlfriend moved out 5 weeks ago. Well, now that she has more freedom, we get together and have a good time, until I say something hurtful. I was reading Harville Hendrix's Getting the Love You Want, and the truths about me being a fuser and her being an isolater are pretty apparent. Problem is, there's another man in her life, who's a lot older, more successful, has 2 kids. I'm only 21, recently got a respectable job, and have no kids. I feel like that there's a clock ticking, that there's been enough time for her to "get over me." I'm worried that there's been too much time, that it's TOO LATE for us to fix it as per Hendrix's system, that intrest in making things right is totally gone. Now, I don't have many close friends, and this has been something of an obsession of mine. My work's suffering. If someone has some advice of how to prop myself up "healthy" I'm willing to listen.
