Experience as a Supervisor

-1981 - 1997 Supervisor of students in co-therapy pairs, individually and in small groups on the St. George’s Hospital Postgraduate Courses, in first and second years.
-1991 to 1999 Co-Ordinator of Second Year Supervision.
-1987 onwards, private practice as supervisor of both independent and NHS employed therapists for their psychosexual work.
-1992 onwards, private practice in systemic and integrative supervision.

Experience as a Psychotherapist

-1976 appointed Honorary Therapist in Department of Adult Psychiatry at St. George’s Hospital 3 hours a week. Research Assistant in Department of Psychology 1978 to 1984, involved in the research of approaches to female loss of desire 7 hours a week.
-1987 to now, specialist nurse therapist in 2 NHS health Authorities, one session each per week, in psychsexual therapy.
-1987 to now, private practice at the Lister Hospital and Harley Street, building up amount of time spent as a therapist, as opposed to Family Planning nurse. Caseload developed from 4 hours a week in 1987 to 20 hours a week by 1992.

Experience as a Teacher

-1981 launched, with colleagues and under the leadership of Dr. Elizabeth Stanley, the St. George’s Hospital Diploma in Human Sexuality which was developed to MSc in 1994 by Dr. Fran Reader. I was involved in teaching and supervision at all levels, and taught a variety of topics. See above for details.
-From 1978 I was involved in SAR seminars all over the country, both with Dr. Elizabeth Stanley at first, then on my own.
_From 1982 I was involved in the teaching of medical students, becoming responsible for their course from 1985 to 1991.
