Sexual Problems

Relationships

Problems with sex are common and many people are affected by them at some time in their lives. (see sex statistics).

A sex problem need not mean that something is seriously wrong. It may be caused by stress, relationship difficulties, grief, shock or accident, medical illness, and a host of other things.

Once a problem has started, anxiety and fear of failure make it worse.

A doctor could tell you if the cause is medical, and a therapist could help you decide if it is psychological. It is very often a mixture of both. Most problems can be helped quite easily.

Prompt action will get prompt help.

partner doesnt feel the desire to start with sex

im a woman from 35 yrs old and my partner is 55 yrs old. We are now for 1.5 yrs together and we love eachother very much. But when i like to make love he seems to find other things more important. Its every time *yes after* we have to do something else 1st before we go to bed to make love? no to cuddle up and to go to sleep. We are to tired anyway when we go to bed. I know that his relation with a woman before me wasnt very sex related and they did it once or twice a few months, now i think that the fact that he isnt really in the mood can be caused by this. The only problem is i like to have sex with him, i know it can be very good. When we just came together it was great, we played en cuddled and made love. But now -(( i dont know what happened but it is not the same at all anymore. Can you help me please what can i do to make me feel wanted by him again???

Low sexual desire

It seems he just doesn't have much sexual interest nowadays. It is usually the case that sex at the start of a relationship is far more frequent and exciting than it will be once things settle down. It is always hard when one person in a relationship has more sexual desire than the other, as it means one person is always hungry and the other overfed. It works best if each person really deeply understands the needs of the other and tries to move a little bit towards them, whether that is more distance or more closeness.
