Sex after my period?

After having my regular cycle I visited my boyfriend. My cycle had ended a few days earlier but after having sex I noticed I had bled during intercourse. I do not think this is in relation to my period but I wanted to know if having sex so soon after my period may be directly linked to the bleeding. Please help.

If your period is almost over, then sex could bring about a little more blood loss. If your period is completely over, then the bleeding is due to something else and the first step is to get medical advice. Your doctor or Family Planning Clinic will be able to tell you what is going on. Any irregular or unexplained bleeding requires medical advice.
