Well done! If you’ve selected this option, chances are that you and/or your partner have already acknowledged a problem and are seeking help. Even solo, you can deal with violence.
Violence is dangerous, addictive, and habitual. Try to establish what it achieves in your relationship, and what you would have to give up or change in order to banish it.
Keep a diary, and work out risk (see the section on Arguments) factors- alcohol, money, relatives, jobs and sexual jealousy feature commonly, but your risks may be different. Violence is not random and you can deal with it, either alone, or with your partner’s help.
