She wants space

Relationship Problems

I've been with a girl for 4 years now... i'm 26 and she is 20. We've always got on really well, never really argued.

I've had my high paid job for about 18 months and for the past few months the relationship has been going downhill.

Basically last week she told me that she needed more space and wanted to go out with her mates more, that she wanted to live her life a little, after all I'd lived mine before i met her. I was a virgin when i got with her, she had slept with a few people.

Now this hurt me a bit, as I can't seem to let her go, what if she finds someone else etc etc. it is not only her girl mates who she wants to go out with but also male friends and said she would go out with just her and one guy.
I flipped as she will not go out with me for a drink as she would feel bored and ashamed kinda thing but she said she would go out with another guy.

I know I am quite posessive etc but need to let go slightly and hope our relationship doesn't end cos I don't really have anyone else, I gave all my mates up for her!

I've let mysellf go a bit recently thinking that she would stay with me for my money. bad mistake, so she has told me that I need to go the gym etc.

There are so many things goin through my head. Her mate is a bit of a slapper and I don't want her to follow her.

She doesn't really like sex, yet I NEED it a lot. I'm not sure what to do.

Being in similiar

Being in similiar situations i know how you feel. Yet, whenever someone in the relationship says they need space, it is definately not a good thing. Whenever someone says they need space, in basic terms it means they want to move on/look for someone better. I know because i've used that excuse before. You should ask her if "more space" means dating other people. If she replies "yes", then i would say your best bet is to move on, eventhough i know how difficult it would be. I hope this helps, and the best of luck.
