Vulval massage
The first step in Vulval massage is to "map" the area. Get a pencil and paper, draw the vulval area, and use different coloured pens to shade in the non-painful parts, the minimally painful, moderately painful, very painful, and acutely painful parts. It should look a bit like a contour map when you have finished.
Next, using a good lubricant, like Pasante TLC or Slick N Slide, both available from http://www.beecourse.com, start to massage the non-painful parts, and gradually over time move in to the minimally painful parts. You then move on to massage the moderatrely painful parts. Keep the massage steady and consisitent, and do not bring on a painful reaction. Spend about 10 minutes a day on this exercise
The aim is to take time and patience and gradually with practice reduce the intensity of the pain in each part, until you can massage even the very and acutely painful parts without discomfort.
