too small

Im a 19 year old virgin and my boyfriend and I tried to have sex for the first time the other day. I was just too small. It doesnt seem to be a unique problem, but I'm not sure if it is vaginismus because inside is fine, it's just the opening that hurts. I've been scared of it for a while beacause I have problems with tampons. He feels bad because he thinks its his fault. I dont really know what to do.

i know how you feel.The first time me and my boyfirend had sex it took us about 2 or 3 times coz i was very scared and i hate tampons too coz it hurt very much.

Tell your boyfriend it not his fault. it means you need more time and coz you are not used to the feeling of tampons or having sex your vagina is not used to it yet.if it hurt next time go to your GP and ask for some help.it will hurt first time and many more time after it.sometimes when me and my boyfriend have sex it hurt me still and i been having sex for 3 month now.

Probably some vaginismus

Actally this sounds as if it could be vaginismus. Vaginismus happens near the entrance, and deeper inside is fine. Not being able to use tampons is a clue.
