Four months ago and on my birthday my boyfriends best friend asked me if I had ever thought that my boyfriend may be confused about his sexuality. I wasn't aware of it but a number of people had said the same thing to me within a matter of weeks. I decided to ask my boyfriend who told me that he was confused about his sexuality. We had been together for 7 years and had lived together for a year. He said that he hadn't known this all of his life and he had only just realised 18 months ago that he was attracted to other guys. Does anyone know if this can actually happen? Physically our relationship was fine we had no problems for the entire 7 years we were together. My whole world has fallen apart and I am struggling to carry on as I feel I have been used as a way of him denying who he actually is and can't understand why he would continue with our relationship for that long. My now ex boyfriend first said that he didn't know if he was straight or bisexual, then later he said he didn't know if he was bisexual or gay and more recently he has said he doesn't even know if he finds women attractive anymore. I just don't understand how someone could be with a woman for 7 years and then after 4 months not find them attractive anymore. I am completely heartbroken. Can anyone help? Has anyone experienced something similar?
