Pain after having sex doggie style

My wife will have pain quite often after we have sex doggie style or other ways with me from behind. When we do it conventional ways facing each other she is fine. What can we do so she doesn't have pain from reverse positions. We have been sexually active together for almost 3 years now. And also, can women expect to have sex pain free during their period?

This is probably happening because you are hitting her cervix. She either has a short vagina, or she isn't fully aroused. If you have sex from behind try not to penetrate her all the way and see if she doesn't experience any pain.
